1881: The Gordon Highlanders - organised as the county regiment of Aberdeenshire and uniting two regular battalions.

1st Battalion - 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot

2nd Battalion - 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot

1994: Amalgamated with Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Cameroons) to form The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Cameroons)
