A British battalion, part of NATO's mobile force, which exists to defend at short notice the extreme flanks of the Allied front, has been training in Norway.

This was the headline in "The Illustrated London News" on their edition dated March 4th 1967, Hugh Fox has kept this edition safe all these years as it shows the SCLI on exercise at Voss in the winter of 1967. The Front page shows the SCLI with the caption of:

After a four-day trek, British soldiers training for NATO, reach the summit of a 3600ft range in Norway.
