Lance Corporal George F Staples REME having enjoyed a posting to
Liverpool for many months received a posting to Gibraltar, this turned
out to be a tremendous experience being posted to REME Headquarters
Monkey's Cave.
I was a watchmaker repairing Service watches and had previous wide
experience having serviced many watches for the services whilst at
Garrards the Crown Jewellers and delivered them to the Royal Observatory
for official timing certificates.
I was put in charge of clocks and watches on the Rock.
With my time in Gibraltar I was able to travel extensively and you
can read more about all my experiences with many contributions from
colleagues.
