The Avro Manchester Twin engined Heavy Bomber first flew on 25th July 1939 and entered Service in 1940. Powered By 2 Rolls Royce Vulture I engines The Manchester suffered appalling losses due to engine failures. However, the basic aircraft design was good and was developed into the 4 engined Lancaster

Some aircraft may appear identical but there are differences which will not be discernible from the image.
